OC LifeHub Editorial Policy & Fact-Checking
Our commitments to building Korean-American local information that OC families can trust.
1. Primary sources first
Every factual claim in our guides is verified directly against California government sources (DMV, SSA, OC Social Services Agency) or the business's official channel. Each guide footer lists sources with access dates.
2. Business verification
Businesses with a "Verified" badge had their address, phone, and website confirmed against official channels within 90 days of the page's publish date. The verification date is shown on the page; after 90 days, the badge reverts to unverified.
3. AI use policy
Guides and curated bodies are written by human editors. AI assists with Korean/English cross-review, grammar checks, and data extraction — never as a source of factual claims. We do not publish AI-generated content as-is.
4. Corrections
If a factual claim is wrong or business info has changed, use the "Request info update" link on the page footer or email [email protected]. We review within 48 hours and reflect changes via the page footer or the guide's "Last reviewed" date.
5. Advertising and sponsorships
OC LifeHub currently runs no external advertising, and editorial content is not influenced by advertisers. If we introduce sponsored content in the future, it will be labeled clearly as "Advertisement" or "Sponsored."
6. Editorial team
OC LifeHub Editorial — a small group of Irvine-based 1.5/2nd-generation Korean-American editors. K-12, real estate, tax, and healthcare categories are led by curators with 10+ years of OC residency. Business verification involves direct visits or official-channel checks before publish.
