Dodgers beat Braves in NLDS opener amid triple-digit heat

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 5-3 in Game 1 of the NL Division Series at Dodger Stadium, according to ABC7 Los Angeles. Tarik Skubal held Atlanta to one run over six innings as the game began in 100-degree heat.

The win gave Los Angeles the opening game of the postseason series, played under an extreme heat warning. ABC7 Los Angeles reported that Game 2 was scheduled for Sunday evening at Dodger Stadium.

ABC7 Los Angeles reported that Skubal allowed two hits, struck out seven and walked two over six innings. The game-time temperature was 100 degrees, with a feels-like reading of 105 degrees.
