Lainey Wilson headlines Day 2 of Stagecoach festival in Indio

Country star Lainey Wilson takes the Mane Stage at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, headlining the second of three days at Empire Polo Club in Indio, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

The three-day, all-ages festival runs through Sunday at the Empire Polo Club, drawing fans from across Southern California — including Orange County — to the Coachella Valley for one of the region's signature outdoor events.

Saturday's lineup spans the Mane, Palomino, Bud Light and Mustang stages with performances by Journey, Little Big Town, Bush, Teddy Swims, Chase Matthew, Lane Pittman, and Billy Bob Thornton with his band The Boxmasters, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

Friday's opening night was headlined by country artist Cody Johnson. Boyz II Men appeared as surprise guests and performed their hit "On Bended Knee" for the crowd at Empire Polo Club, 81800 51st Ave., the ABC7 report said.

Post Malone closes out the festival Sunday. The crossover artist's closing set marks one of the more unconventional booking choices in the event's recent history.

Beyond the main stages, the festival offers specialty venues including Diplo's Honky Tonk, Guy Fieri's Smokehouse, Whiskey Jam and a Compton Cowboys showcase, according to the ABC7 report.

Road closures around the Empire Polo Club are in effect from April 25 through May 4, affecting drivers heading to the venue from Orange County and the Los Angeles area. Organizers posted traffic updates at stagecoachfestival.com.
