Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge expands to all eras beginning April 29

Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will begin hosting characters from across the entire Star Wars saga on April 29, introducing roaming heroes and villains alongside new merchandise and John Williams' original scores, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

The rollout is timed to the annual May the 4th Star Wars holiday and represents a major evolution for one of Orange County's flagship tourist attractions at the Disneyland resort in Anaheim.

Starting April 29, guests will find Darth Vader and Imperial Stormtroopers patrolling the Outer Rim outpost, while Leia Organa, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker will also appear as roaming characters throughout the land, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

John Williams' musical compositions from the first six Star Wars films will play throughout Black Spire Outpost, drawing the land's soundscape from the full breadth of the original and prequel eras.

The First Order Cargo shop is being rebranded as Black Spire Surplus as part of the expanded storyline. New merchandise items debuting with the launch include the Aurebesh Collection, Salvaged Protocol Droid Bucket, Bantha Sipper and Lightsaber Swizzle Sticks.

Hyperspace Mountain returned to Disneyland's Tomorrowland on April 28, ABC7 Los Angeles reported. A further milestone arrives May 22, when a new mission at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run launches in conjunction with the release of "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu." The mission may take guests to settings including Bespin, Coruscant and the Death Star wreckage above Endor.

The expansion is timed to align with May the 4th, the annual global celebration observed by Star Wars fans each spring.
