Hulu expands reality TV slate with Project Runway return, Kardashian series

Hulu unveiled a sweeping expansion of its reality television lineup Wednesday, announcing new celebrity-driven series, a Travis Barker documentary and the return of "Project Runway" with a record 22 designers, ABC7 Los Angeles reported.

The announcements, made through the "Hulu Gets Real" showcase, signal an aggressive push by the streaming platform to cement its standing as a destination for reality programming, with new shows rolling out across Hulu, Disney+ and Freeform through summer 2026.

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is the subject of "Louder Than Fear," a documentary set to premiere on Hulu this summer. The film chronicles his life and career, including his recovery from a devastating plane crash, according to the ABC7 Los Angeles report on the showcase.

Khloé Kardashian will executive produce "The Girls," a new series following the Kardashian family's inner circle. Emmy-nominated actress Parker Posey is set to host "The Mob," a competition series in which celebrities compete for a $250,000 prize.

"Project Runway" returns to Hulu on July 9 with a record-breaking roster of 22 designers — the largest cast in the show's history. Heidi Klum returns as host, with Law Roach and Nina Garcia serving as judges and Christian Siriano as mentor.

Reality TV personality Stassi Schroeder gets her own series, "House of Stassi," debuting July 29 on Freeform. Wildlife personality Robert Irwin will serve as host of "Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro."

Hulu also announced a weekly "Get Real" podcast to accompany its expanding reality programming. Viewers can catch the "Vanderpump Villa" Season 3 reunion on April 30 as part of the new programming wave.

The full summer reality lineup will air across Hulu, Disney+ and Freeform, with "Project Runway" leading the charge on July 9.
