OC Animal Care highlights pets for adoption in Tustin

OC Animal Care is highlighting adoptable dogs and cats at its Tustin shelter, including pets eligible for adoption fee promotions and a bonded pair recommended to go home together, according to Voice of OC.

The feature points Orange County residents to shelter animals from local jurisdictions and outlines how to visit, call ahead and take part in upcoming adoption and vaccine events.

Truckstop, a 4-year-old dog weighing 62 pounds, has been at OC Animal Care since Sept. 16, 2025, Voice of OC reported. His pet ID is A1910269, and he qualifies for the shelter’s September promotion waiving adoption fees for dogs 25 pounds and over.

Camo, an 8-month-old dog weighing 65 pounds, came in as a stray on Sept. 10, 2026, according to Voice of OC. Staff said the puppy is shy and does best with slow introductions; his pet ID is A1977664.

Voice of OC also featured Vinny and Mona Lisa, a bonded pair that staff recommend be adopted together. Vinny, pet ID A1968184, is 6 years old and weighs 14.2 pounds, while Mona Lisa, pet ID A1968185, is 2 years old and weighs 11.8 pounds; both arrived Aug. 22, 2026. Staff descriptions called Mona Lisa “mysterious” and “enrapturing,” according to Voice of OC.

Two kittens, Biggie and Fib, are sharing a kennel and are eligible for OC Animal Care’s $50 feline Fridays promotion, Voice of OC reported. Biggie, pet ID A1962724, and Fib, pet ID A1962726, are each 4 months old and arrived July 12, 2026.

Kenny, a 15-week-old kitten weighing 3.8 pounds, came in as a stray Aug. 2, 2026, according to Voice of OC. Staff recommend a home without children because he can become overstimulated easily; his pet ID is A1972577.

OC Animal Care is open daily for adoption visits from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Readers can call (714) 935-6848 and mention an animal’s ID number to schedule a visit, Voice of OC reported.

OC Animal Care will also host a free rabies clinic Saturday, Sept. 26, at its Tustin shelter, with the first 100 vaccines offered free while supplies last, according to Voice of OC.
