Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets found dead at 67 in Arizona home

Darrell Sheets, known to television audiences as "The Gambler" on the reality series 'Storage Wars,' was found dead Wednesday morning at his Lake Havasu, Arizona, home at age 67.

Sheets was one of the recognizable personalities on 'Storage Wars,' which followed the purchase of abandoned storage units across Southern California. His death prompted an outpouring of grief from cast members and fans of the long-running series.

Police responded to Sheets' home in Lake Havasu City and reported the apparent cause of death as suicide, according to ABC7 Los Angeles. An official determination is pending investigation by the Mohave County medical examiner's office.

Sheets rose to prominence on 'Storage Wars,' a reality series that tracked buyers as they bid on the contents of abandoned storage units across Southern California. He appeared under the nickname "The Gambler," a reference to his high-risk bidding style.

Co-star Mary Padian mourned his death on social media. "Some people become part of a chapter in your life that you never forget. You will be missed Darell," Padian wrote in the caption of a photo, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

The Mohave County medical examiner's office has not yet released an official cause of death.
