Heeseung relaunches as EVAN with platinum blond debut at Seoul photocall

Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung stepped out Wednesday under his new stage name EVAN at a Seoul photocall, debuting a platinum blond look as he formally begins a solo career following his March departure from the group.

The appearance, at a product photocall for a global colored contact lens brand at the Musinsa Megastore in Seoul's Seongdong District, marks EVAN's first public outing since management agency Belift Lab confirmed his group exit on March 10, the Korea Times reported.

EVAN debuted with ENHYPEN in 2020 as the group's eldest member and main vocalist. After Belift Lab announced his departure on March 10, ENHYPEN reorganized as a six-member act, according to the Korea Times.

He formally introduced the stage name EVAN — one he has used since childhood — on April 8 through newly launched social media channels, signaling a deliberate break from his previous group identity.

At the photocall Wednesday, he appeared in a black suit alongside his newly unveiled platinum blond hair, the Korea Times reported.

During his time with ENHYPEN, EVAN contributed to songwriting and producing on tracks including "Highway 1009" and "Dial Tragedy," according to Xportsnews.

His exit drew backlash from a portion of fans online who called on him to reverse the decision, the Korea Times reported.

No solo music release date has been announced. ENHYPEN continues its activities as a six-member group.
