Three Voice of OC staffers win OC Press Club board seats

Three Voice of OC staffers have been elected to the OC Press Club board for 2027 service, Voice of OC reported Oct. 8.

The results put Hosam Elattar, Noah Biesiada and Michelle King on the board of a journalism organization founded more than 100 years ago to support journalism in Orange County and Southern California.

Voice of OC reported that Hosam Elattar, Noah Biesiada and Michelle King won seats in the OC Press Club’s recent election for 2027 board service.

Elattar, a Voice of OC reporter and OC Press Club board member, will enter his second year on the board. Biesiada, a Voice of OC county reporter, and King, a Voice of OC Tracy Wood Fellow, were elected to their first terms, according to Voice of OC.

"It is an honor to be reelected to the OC Press Club and to be trusted to represent the interests of local journalists and advocate for their rights," Elattar said, according to Voice of OC.

King became a Tracy Wood Fellow in January 2026 and graduated from Cal State University Fullerton in May 2026, Voice of OC reported. Biesiada started at Voice of OC as an intern from Cal-State University Fullerton and joined the newsroom full time in 2021.

The OC Press Club was founded more than 100 years ago, according to Voice of OC. The elected staffers said they want to focus on local journalism, press freedom, transparency and keeping news available in Orange County.

The board service is set for 2027, according to Voice of OC.
