Jamie Foxx sets Oct. 7 Hulu comedy special

Jamie Foxx’s new comedy special, “Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself,” will stream Oct. 7 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

The special is part of Hulu’s “Hularious” platform, with the trailer highlighting Foxx’s jokes about aging and neighborhood encounters. The ABC7 Los Angeles report did not identify an Orange County location or issue tied to the special.

Jamie Foxx opens the trailer for his new Hulu special by addressing the audience directly, ABC7 Los Angeles reported. “I cannot tell you how great it feels to be in front of you.” Foxx, a comedian and actor, said.

The special, titled “Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself,” is scheduled to stream Oct. 7 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, according to ABC7 Los Angeles. It is being released under Hulu’s “Hularious” platform.

An official description quoted by ABC7 Los Angeles calls the special Foxx’s “most honest, evolved and unforgettable chapter yet.”

The trailer includes material about getting older. “I knew I was old when I was getting dressed, I put on a mock neck (shirt). My sister's watching me like 'what (are) you doing?' I'm going out. She said, 'you look old.' I said, 'no, I look presentable!'” Foxx said.

Foxx also jokes in the trailer about living in an all-white neighborhood and being confronted by a gangbanger there. “I said, 'How did you get in here?' My white friends didn't know what was going (on). 'Is this your cousin?' No, this is danger!” Foxx said.
