NC plans global PC release of AION 2 in second half of 2026

NC announced Tuesday it will launch its massively multiplayer online role-playing game AION 2 globally on PC platforms in the second half of 2026, distributing the title through Steam and the company's PURPLE launcher.

The Korea Times reported that the launch represents NC's push to expand beyond South Korea with dedicated regional servers for North America, South America, Europe and Japan, and multilingual support for 10 languages — a significant step for one of South Korea's largest gaming publishers.

The Korea Times reported that AION 2 will be available exclusively on PC, with regional servers standing up in North America, South America, Europe and Japan. Players can add the title to their Steam wish list beginning April 22.

The game will support 10 languages at launch: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and simplified and traditional Chinese, according to the Korea Times.

"We want to bring that same level of dedication, community responsiveness and gameplay quality to players around the world," an NC official said, as reported by the Korea Times. The company said it incorporated community feedback during development.

The Korea Times reported that NC's development team is scheduled to hold a session in May to present additional details about the title ahead of its release window.

NC, based in Pangyo, South Korea, has not announced a specific release date within the second half of 2026 window.
