Anaheim fight sends six to hospitals as police investigate

Six people were hospitalized after a fight involving several people armed with knives in Anaheim early Sunday, according to NBC Los Angeles. None of the injuries were life-threatening, authorities said.

No arrests had been reported Sunday morning as police worked to establish what prompted the fight and identify those involved. Investigators asked the public for information, with anonymous tips accepted through Orange County Crime Stoppers.

Officers responded around 1:30 a.m. near Magnolia and La Palma avenues after receiving reports of a fight, NBC Los Angeles reported, citing Anaheim police.

Two people suffering from stab wounds pointed officers toward a residence on North Magnolia Avenue. Police found four more injured people there.

Of those at the residence, two had stab wounds. Another had a cut to the head that authorities said may have been caused by a beer bottle, while the fourth was described as having been targeted in an attempted stabbing.

Authorities described a large fight in which several participants had knives. Police said the people they had contacted offered limited information, and investigators were still trying to determine how the confrontation began.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Anaheim police or provide an anonymous tip to Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-847-6227.
